Santa Clara County, located in the south of the San Francisco Bay Area, encompasses an area of over 1,300 square miles and is home to nearly 1.8 million people.  The county is also one of the most populated counties in the Bay Area and one of the original counties in the state of California (founded in 1850, around the time that California was granted statehood).  San Jose serves as the county’s seat and the county has the distinct honor of being considered one of the most affluent in the US.

Because of its location, Santa Clara County incorporates a majority of what is considered Silicon Valley.  It is home to companies like Apple, HP, eBay, Intel, Cisco Systems, and many, many more.  In fact, approximately 6,500 high technology companies are headquartered or have offices in Santa Clara County.  Despite how en-grained in the culture of Santa Clara County high technology appears to be, the area was not always a high technology metropolis.  IBM and HP were two of the first companies to set up offices in Santa Clara County between 1939 and 1943.  Before 1939, family owned farms and orchards dominated both the landscape and the economy.  More than one research laboratory followed between the 40's and 50's, but it wasn't until the early 1970's that the area was even referred to as “Silicon Valley”.  The 1980's and 90's brought to the area rapid growth and acceleration as the interest in web based products and services grew among the internet using public.

Santa Clara County is a great place for anyone with vacant property to earn extra cash every month by renting out that property.  For an even greater chance of success and much fewer headaches, property owners are encouraged to partner with a professional Santa Clara County property management company.  When they partner with a professional management team, property owners get to take a “hands off” approach to property management while reaping a majority of the financial benefits.  The majority because most management companies will collect a small fee based on the amount of the rent that they collect from their tenants each month, passing the rest of the earnings on to the owner.  As far as “hands off” goes, the property owner never has to worry about balancing any books related to the property, responding to any maintenance requests, having to chase down delinquent renters, screening potential renters, or doing any of the other tedious tasks that property managers are typically required to do when they partner with a professional Santa Clara county property management company.

With a professional management company on their side, property owners can literally put the work and collection of profits from their property on auto-pilot.  Since they only collect a small percentage of rent collected as their fee, partnering with a property management company is something that pays for itself and offers tremendous benefits.
